Summer Give Away! Stationery!
Hello hello! Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I've been a busy little beaver, beavering away on my computer and pulling out all my vintage ephemera to be inspired to make stationery for you lovely folks. I've put together two cute sets and I'm doing a summer give-away in celebration of the Summer Solstice approaching this week. The first set is called Shimokita Vintage, this is a collage of vintage airline ephemera, and one of my most prized vintage finds in Shimokitazawa a ceramic 60's pup. Plus a watercolor drawing of Calpico I did while in Japan and polkadots. You'll get the set which includes two notecards, two envelopes, two gift tags, and 3 sheets of giftwrap. The second set is Tokyo Triangles which is all pretty pastels in triangle, polkadots and stripes. The envelopes have the signature fox from the Usagi Por Moi logo and pretty bunting. This set includes, two envelopes, 2 notecards, 4 sheets of giftwrap (If time allows for me to finish designing the tags this week they will also be included, but they will definitely be available when they go up in the shop next week).
Both sets will be available next week (June 24th week) in the shop.
Ok here are the details. Leave a comment below of which is your favorite, plus your name and email and I will announce the winner next tuesday, June25th.

Usagi Por Moi Shop Open!
Dear friends I have two pieces of news for you today. First I would like to introduce my new shop Usagi Por Moi. The shop will carry paper goods like stationery and gift wrapping essentials, plus accessories like totes in my giveaway two weeks ago. Second, in conjunction my etsy store will still be up but I have renamed to be the same as my independent shop, Usagi Por Moi. Some items will be listed in the etsy shop and others in my independent shop. The links will always be on the navigation bar on the left.
So first order of business here are a few things available in the my new shop
Since the gift giving season is upon us I thought I should share these
lovely gift wrapping essentials. These can go on any perfect package, be it the holidays, a birthday, an anniversary, or just because you love sending gifts to your pen pal. Each set comes with two rosettes. Get them here.

Sketchbook Project

I just received my sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project, I'm so excited to start. I already have an idea for the cover so I will get that going later today. The Brooklyn Art Library's project has thousands of artists all over the world sketching in small sketchbooks and then collecting them all by January 31st, 2012 and sending them on a world tour for everyone to view them, then later they will be added to the library's collection for all to enjoy. I'm lucky enough to live in Brooklyn so I will have the collection to peruse as I wish. Also I'm simultaneously working on another sketchbook that is going to tie in with Sketchbook Project sketchbook and I will make into a zine, it's called of Journal of Stars and I'm trying to incorporate stars in all my drawings since they always baffle me PLUS since I've become obsessed with washi tape I'm adding bits of tape to each of my sketches. This idea will also flow into the Sketchbook Project.

Sewon your package is going out today!!!

Gift Wrapping Goodness
I received my sister's wedding book that I designed, plus a copy for my mom and dad so I thought time for some kawaii wrapping! Oh then I thought my friends' kid just had a birthday too, need a cute gift and wrap! Out came the supplies. Stamps, ink, washi tape, lace, pom poms, glue, needle & thread, everything that I could think of. A little thinking and a lot of letting go my imagination took over and brought me these.

I almost forgot, I have a secret project I'm working on, I'll have a little store opening up soon for this blog called usagi por moi and some of the first items will be gift wrapping items like the little paper flowers in the pics above. Check in next week when I make the announcement I'll have another give away.

Give-aways starting this week!
Friends, this has been long over due, I'm starting give-aways this week. I was inspired by many of my fellow bloggers, like Beebee and Jenna and by a gift I'm sending my friend Ros from Polkaros. All give-aways will be made by me and will come in super kawaii style gift wrap! Why am I doing this, because I like you and I make a lot of spiffy stuff that needs a home.
I won't reveal the contents of Ros' gift yet, because I want it to be a surprise! Right now you get to see the two smaller packages, I'll post the big one tomorrow and the big reveal will be when Ros gets it.
Anywho, back to the give-aways. I will be posting the prize tomorrow morning, and all you have to do is leave me a comment with your name and favorite Japanese treat. You have until Thursday 10pm eastern to enter and on Friday morning I will announce the winner. Please check back to see if you won and send me your address so I can send you your gift. Email jannese1970@gmail.com or just click the link on the left.
