A Productive Week

This past week I did a little home improvement and I made myself two skirts. The chair is a vintage mid-century modern Danish dining chair upholstered with ikea fabric. The skirt is a pattern from a Japanese craft book slightly altered in Nani Iro pretty polka dot cerulean blue. The second skirt is from a Built By Wendy pattern from her Sew U book in Heather Ross' super cute Strawberry print from her Briar Rose Collection that I purchased at Purl Soho. And the cute little non shelves are from Urban Outfitters. IMG_2001.1 polkadotskirt strawberry skirt IMG_1983

Le Corbusier

Le Corbusier, was an interesting but narcissistic man. A man obsessed with hygiene and an elites, but a genius non-the-less. I was lucky enough to see the body of his work this past Friday at the MOMA in NYC. His initial drawings are massive and crude, the work of a madman, but inspirational because you can see the every bit of the finished product in the insanity. His finer finished drawings and paintings are a marvel to see. The exhibit did not allow photography except for one or two things so here are a few shots taken from the MOMA and other Le Corbusier online collections.

Arthur Ave via Instagram

I've been holding off on posting about my trip to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx for a couple of weeks in hopes I would get my film back soon, but alas that's not happening soon so I will show you with my Instagram photos which are super fun too. Arthur Avenue is a small stretch of restaurants and food markets solely of old school Italian food. Absolutely delicious! Also I want to explain my Polyvore blast on my blog. I've recently started creating sets on Polyvore and I'm a little addicted. I want to share these with you because I thought you may like a little cute fashion every once in while. I've also been interviewing like crazy for a new design job and I'm on the fashion train right now polishing up my research knowledge. So I hope you don't mind me adding my Polyvore sets but I promise its not going to take over the blog. I will add a little button of sets on the left-side of the blog if you want to follow me. Oh and Stationery winners your stuff went out yesterday hope you get it soon.
