New in the Shop: Leather Mini Bags

New bags in shop
This past week I've been working on a project that is what I am very familiar with small leather goods. I just finished the first batch of mini purses/wallets on a chain. These precious little bags can be used to just carry your super essentials, some cash, mirror and lipgloss. I also have one extra extra teeny mini which can be worn as a necklace with a little secret inside. Stop by the shop to get one, hurry these babies will sell fast.

Tiny Houses

I've been playing around with some air clay for the last two months and I have been obsessing about making teeny houses for display. So this week I put on my studio apron, pulled out some clay and paint then got to work. Here is the end result.

Avril Yarns and Chevron patterns

I was so pleased to get my yarns from Avril-Kyoto on Friday, they are so beautiful! They also come on these lovely cones. I can't wait to start projects with them. This find is thanks to Beebee on WTWS. Then earlier in the week I found myself at Paper Presentation and happened upon the cutest mini envelopes with a chevron pattern, plus a chevron stamp! Yay! for stationery stores!

Bushwick

This past Saturday we had a great start with a trip to 3rd Ward in Bushwick where they were holding a big holiday craft fair. Lots of vendors, lots of stuff, my favorites were stationery and terrarium vendors. I came home with some sweet hand printed gift wrap and Debra bought herself a pretty little terrarium with so many exciting things happening inside. After hoarding our loot we were mighty hungry so we were off to Roberta's for brunch. As usual there was long wait so we walked around the neighborhood and stepped into a couple of spots, while we waited to be called. A Crafty Wedding

About six months ago my very good friend Michelle ask her crafty friends to help her decorate her wedding happening in September. After many battles, procrastination and hurt fingers we pulled it off with big beautiful tissue dahlia poms, hand-lettered signage, and handmade paper crafted goods. We had many friend help make the dahlia's and hang them, hanging them was the bit that was most tricky, but Michelle married a clever man and he worked it out with his buddies and or dear friend, Adriana who created a master plan. Debra made beautiful signs for the wedding cupcakes, tables, restrooms, and directions. I in the end scrambled to make a pretty guestbook with lovely Japanese paper and vintage paper and gold leather I collected.
