Summer Love
I've been trying to take advantage of this Summer's amazing weather, pretty mild temps for New York thus far. Here are a few places and things I've been enjoying.
1. Lavender Lake, great bar with lovely yard in the Gowanus. 2. Secret street in Carroll Gardens I discovered riding my bike, there are tiny hobbit doors on the houses. 3. My favorite summer beverage, I love Rose flavored foods. 4. Lots of mushrooms sprouted after a week of rain. 5. Zona Rosa, Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg, super cute silver bus in the kitchen and then there's they wonderful roodtop dining area. 6. Lavender Lake, Gowanus. 7. Frankie's 457, delicious Italian restaurant in Carroll Gardens. 8. Vivi Bubble Tea, super sweet bubble tea place in the East Village. 9. Cuban empanadas at my Mom's. 10. Gino's Italian Restaurant, Bay Ridge. 11. Jacob Riis Beach.

Weaving a lil Wall Hanging
A dear friend introduced me to the art of Wall Hangings and I became obsessed. I ran out, got myself a couple of stretchers and some warp thread. Then I rummaged through my giant yarn stash and pulled out all my ends and some favorites. I got to weaving my little heart out in minutes. I can't stop its so addictive. Its super relaxing and great for the meticulous and anal retentive like myself. I highly recommend it, here's a great tutorial.
Here are my darlings.

Summer Weekend
This weekend we went to Upstate New York, specifically Boiceville which sandwiched between Phoenicia and Kingston. We rented the cutest little house by the river. There were woods filled with Blue Jay's, a little rickety stairs down into the river to swim, pretty twinkle lights on the porch and the smell of fresh air. Aside from lounging around on the porch we ventured to Peekamouse Blue Hole, which is a swimming hole, 20 minutes away from where we were staying. We had quite a few delicious eats, brunch at Sweet Sue's for pancakes, pizza at Brio's, fancy cocktails and traditional American fare at Boitson's in Kingston. We were in luck and one of the loveliest swimming holes in the U.S. was only 20 minutes away from where we were staying, the water was crystal blue and in a magical forest in the mountains. I love going away to Upstate New York there is so much natural beauty and friendly people.
