Beach Day!!!

Monday was a record high for April in New York, it was 84F! Of course the first thing I thought was head to the beach. I love the beach, been in love with it since I was little girl. Now logically I know the beach is cold in April no matter what the temperature in the city is, but I figured at least I wouldn't be in my hot Brooklyn apartment. I packed my cute yellow Fjallraven Kånken backpack with beach towel, water bottle, Iphone, sweatshirt, jeans, and a little sea grass mat which is my best friend for all outdoor activities. I jumped in my car, and drove out to Fort Tilden, it's an easy 40 minute drive and you get to drive through a lot of old Brooklyn. I was glad I packed extra clothes because it was significantly chillier when I got there, but it was empty and beautiful. I even braved dipping my toes in the frigid ocean water, but it was amazing even cold. Here are some pics of my beach day including the drive there, can't wait til it warms up again....
