Hervé Morvan, Fog Linen, and MT Tape

Last week was a good week for getting some really awesome stuff. Since I was working near the Kinokuniya in NYC I took a break and went shopping in the bookstore and came home with these lovely tapes and this wonderful book filled with French Poster art by Hervé Morvan. Of course no trip to Kinokuniya can be without some washi tape, I bought the thinner tape three packs. I also ordered from the heavenly linen store, Fog Linen, their fabric swatches and tapes which make great mini projects or just wonderful gift wrapping ideas. Plus beautiful linen kitchen towels, the two scandinavian blue towels, in gingham and stripe. Thanks to Beebee for sharing.

Sweets for you!

Here's a sneak peek at some of the charms I've been making for some new accessories I'm designing. I molded and hand painted each piece. I still have a bit more experimenting to do with the macaroons and cookie. I will keep you posted on the finished products. Happy Holidays everyone!

Bushwick

This past Saturday we had a great start with a trip to 3rd Ward in Bushwick where they were holding a big holiday craft fair. Lots of vendors, lots of stuff, my favorites were stationery and terrarium vendors. I came home with some sweet hand printed gift wrap and Debra bought herself a pretty little terrarium with so many exciting things happening inside. After hoarding our loot we were mighty hungry so we were off to Roberta's for brunch. As usual there was long wait so we walked around the neighborhood and stepped into a couple of spots, while we waited to be called.

Zine Update! Andrew Bird! and Afternoon Tea!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been a little busy working on my new zine. Here are a few bits from the zine, hope you like it.

I made another little house pin, I will start making them to add to my shop soon.
Had afternoon tea with Sewon and Debra at Tea and Sympathy in the West Village. Super cute tea shop with charming decor. Lots of tea pots and knick knacks from jolly'ol. The food and desserts are always amazing. They drown all their desserts in hot vanilla custard, yum! Scones and clotted cream are must too!

Monday night we had a euphoric experience at the Riverside Church when we heard Andrew Bird in concert, absolutely divine.

Baby Usagi

Our friends' Joe and Katie are expecting a little baby usagi soon and since they have a real life usagi (rabbit) as their dear pet, Debra and I decided to make baby gifts bunny themed. Debra made these lovely bunny onsies and matching wall art. I made hand sewn felt baby shoes and snuggly stuffed bunny.

I went to Kinokuniya last week and got these three new paper crafts books to add to my collection. The first one is about using doilies in really adorable ways, the second shows how to make sweet wearable paper accessories, and the third is a miniature book binding how-to.
