Mitsuwa treasures
2008©janneserojas
Debra and I took a trip out to Mitsuwa yesterday and I came home with a bounty of re-ment, a chipmunk, crafting books, jugs and jugs of barley tea, plus green tea Kit- Kat! The tea delish! The Kit-Kat taste exactly the same as regular Kit-Kat.
a few pics of all the goodness, more on flickr

Lilliput!
Last night I went to an installation show at Gallery Hanahou in NYC with my friend Adriana. The show was awesome, it was an army of Blythes headed towards you while lying on a bed they setup as part of the installation. The idea was to get the audience to participate and get the full experience by lying in the bed and having all these tiny girls coming towards you. The artists are part of a group called Theatre Alfort, they are group of Japanese women who are dedicated to the little goddess, Ms. Blythe. Check out the pics of the show here

4. When I was kid my grandmother would perform santeria rituals to protect me and my sister, and my dad would get really po'd, cause he thought it was a lot of b.s.. I suspect he really thought that she was laying some bad mojo on us since she didn't like him.
5. When I was little we had 2 chickens in the yard and we lived in QUEENS!!!! (My family's Cuban)
6. I wish I had a crafty friend in Japan so I could visit them when I go to Japan again.

Bunny's all done!
This little guy took me about 3 months to finish, only because I was working on a bunch of other projects at the time. I'm really happy how he came out, and I hope that our friend's daughter who it was intended for really loves it. She's turning five this week and she has a pet bunny rabbit so I figured she may enjoy a bunny she can take on the road:)
