Lions, Tigers, and Bears, OH MY!
Mathilda and I took a trip to the american museum of natural history this week, it was great! Some of the creatures need a little oiling of their fur they are looking a bit dry. The light in there is meant to keep things mysterious and hide the fucked up looking stuff, but it sucks for taking pics. So any-who, I shot most of the pics at ISO 400 and a low F-stop, which made a lot of them grainy, but I prefer grainy over flash pics. Check out our visit at my flickr

Coffee anyone?
This is Emi's 2nd new dress I finished sewing the pockets on this weekend. One pocket has a very happy pot of coffee and the other a smiling cup o' joe! I realize now that because the tweed is a lot heavier than what this pattern was originally intended for it sticks off her body to much making the pockets look uneven. Next time I have to make the skirt of the smock less bulkier by reducing the width of the fabric. But I think it looks lovely on her especially with the new tights I made too. I'm thinking of making a brown turleneck to go under this dress. Let's see when I have time.

Emi's new Fall dress
I finished Emi's dress about a week and half ago, but this weekend was the first time I had a chance to photograph it. I used some of the fabric that I brought back from Japan. I think it really suits her coloring, golden! I have many more pics of Emi in all her fall glory at my Flickr
I finished her second dress this weekend , it's a brown tweedy fabric with two embroidered pockets, but haven't had a chance to shoot pics hopefully I'll get some sun tomorrow and I will post it.
My Etsy right now is empty I'm working on some coats for the Bust Craftacular in NY, then I'll be making more coats, overalls and dresses for my Etsy store so please keep tuned in.

Mamacita Needs a Home! ASAP
Debra and I caught the stray, Mamacita, that lives in the parking lot
on the corner of our block this Sunday. Mamacita, has lived there for
about 8 years and the neighborhood folks fed her and loved her. She
was also caught about 8 years ago, spayed, and released. She's a sweet
and tough petite little girl and has survived many harsh summers and
winters, but this Fall she fell ill and she started deteriorating. So
after many tries at capturing her we finally succeeded this Sunday
and brought her to our vet at Animal Kind Medical Center in Park
Slope. She has had ever test under the sun, she is Feline Leukemia and
HIV negative, free of Kidney, liver and thyroid diseases. She's just
elderly and may have inflammatory bowel disease which is treatable
with antibiotics which they already started her on. She is currently
residing at the vet's which is costing Debra a small fortune and all
her tests and meds were also paid for. Now many folks on the block who
claim to love this kitty have said they would help financially or try
finding a home for her, but few have contributed financially and no
one is helping in finding her a home. If we put her back in the
parking lot were she may what to be she may die this winter because
she's weak and needs time to heal. So we really need to find her a
home quickly and it has to be someone who is willing to provide her
medical care. She's incredibly friendly, she loves a belly rub, and
she's very tidy, she knows how to use her litter box. She tolerates
dogs and other cats. She's very petite, she's so small she looks like
a kitten. Please help us find her a home. Contact us at
ilovemamacita@yahoo.com (please do not respond to this email at this
address because it will go into my junk folder if I don't know you.
Please be serious and well intentioned.
xoxo

Fall coats! Creamsicle colors!
I just finished these 4 little coats they are up on my etsy store, get'em quick, because they usually go right away. They are all lined and hand embroidered.I had started them at the end of the summer but had to stop work on them because of the Curious Pictures job. Then I left for Japan, so for the last few days I have been embroidering on the train on the way into my freelance job in the mornings to get these guys finished up and start some new stuff with all the new fabrics I got in Japan!
sorry for the huge pics, but you wouldn't be able to see the embroidered details otherwise.

Came back from Japan with my new girls
So of course if I was going to japan I couldn't possibly come back without a Blythe or two. So I bought a 12" Dainty Biscuit, her hair is the perfect shade of bubblegum pink, and 2 petites, Pink Doodle Poddle (also awesome pink hair!), and Lemon Butter (love her freckles!)I need to name these girls. Biscuit, might be Sakura although my Star D is Suki short for Sakura, but I thought since Sakura means cherry blossom it'd be appropriate for Biscuit.
