This week I've been experimenting with more stationery and I went to Kinokuniya & Muji to arm myself with some more supplies. First, I started printing cute envelopes as part of my stationery collection. I'm toying with the idea of calling it "Usagi pour moi", after one of my favorite stores in Tokyo, "Usagi pour Toi", and because the rabbit is my favorite small animal since I was a little girl and who doesn't love a bunny. On this first print run I printed "la fille de oiseaux"(birdgirl)which I could also call the stationery collection, but it may be a little long. Anywho, I bought some more MT Tape, origami paper, craft glue, dot liner, and these cute rabbit keyboard notes. Then today I got a surprise delivery, well not exactly a surprise I bought it but it came so fast, I also got a Coharu label and tape printer which is super cute and will be awesome in making my little books. The only issue which I wasn't sure about is that MT Tape doesn't fit the machine so I have to see if the same company I ordered the printer would be willing to ship that tapes from Coharu on their own since they offer to send them as a package with the printer but I opted out thinking the MT Tape would work, silly me. If anyone knows where I can get Coharu tape from or is willing to ship it from Japan(I would pay you in advance to ship it) I'd be ever so grateful.
Checkout the Coharu video it's pretty cute

Did you ever get tape for your Coharu? I have a Coharu too, I bought it through Rakuten, but the seller i got mine from didn't have tapes in stock. There's one seller on etsy called craftyjapan, and i ordered tapes from her. She can get whatever coharu tape style you need.
ReplyDeleteHey LPA, thanks for the info. I actually ended up ordering the tape on Amazon.jp and had a third party shipper ship it to me, it was actually pretty cost effective. Thanks again.
ReplyDeletei want to have that coharu but where can i buy that in the philippines. pls. reply. i know a place in manila selling plenty of washi tapes but the machine is limited.
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle, I'm sorry I don't know where in the Philippines you can buy the printer since I'm in the U.S.. But I found a link on Etsy, http://www.etsy.com/listing/78957976/coharu-masking-tape-label-printer-set

ReplyDeleteI was looking for a few articles on MT Tape and I came across yours inspiring read.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI just received my Coharu printer. I just started playing with it and noticed that the print is very faint. It's barely noticeable. Any suggestion as to how to make it visible or darker? The instruction manual is in japanese and I tried looking for ideas online :) Please help :)
hmmmm, are you using their tape? If you aren't its not going to print well, also if its their tape and has been exposed to light it won't print well. I've also experienced the type fading on the tape, because the tape is light sensitve. Sorry I can't be more help.
