Tsumori Chisato and paper crafts!
This week I popped into Kinokuniya to pick up my book on garland and mobile crafts that Jenna so kindly gave me the info after posting it on her blog, Hand Deco Interior. This is a super fun Japanese craft book with loads of creative ideas on making garlands, mobiles and ornaments. I must warn you the instructions are in Japanese and there are no visual instructions so it will take a little imagination and ingenuity on your part to make these. I was thinking maybe making a garland incorporating some of these lovely crepe paper flowers I found over on Oh Happy Day.
While I was at Kino I was browsing in the magazine section and I came across this Tsumori Chisato catalog with an awesome treat inside! I little golden kitty wallet by Tsumori-san! So exciting!

Spoon and cute Crochet book
Super sweet crochet book! I love this, it's cut strips of fabric tied together to make the yarn, I can't wait to make something! Think a hat is the first I'll make.
Here's Spoon, it's the April edition, I didn't love the new edition so I decided to go with this one. I love this model she's adorable and so versatile in her looks. So many cute outfits, accessories and I love the section on Kokeshi dolls.

Collage and Bento!
This week I popped into Kinokuniya for lunch and to buy a gift and of course I left with two books for myself. First the amazing Collage book with endless pages of collagie (I know that's not a word)goodness. It's hard to say what's my favorite project because it's all so beautiful! I love the matchbox ideas, the collaged tees, and the lovely travel notebooks. There's a site with a mini movie of the whole book here.
Next up is the Just Bento Cookbook by Makiko Itoh. She makes cooking sound easy especially quick bento lunches. I've been wanting to do this every since I been working at a client's office in Herald Square where the food choices are Korean or fastfood, I like Korean I just can't eat it all the time. I'm not a cookbook kinda gal either but I thought this one was an easy one. Let's see what I come up with.

Tokyo Home Atelier + MT Tapes!
I wandered into Kinokuniya recently for a beverage and then I just had a few minutes to check out the MT Tape section, and low and behold they got in most of the new tapes. I was elated! Finally the tapes I had wished for with the mushrooms and the animals! I also got the mini envelopes, the envelope closures, and some new patterns! Kinokuniya keeps adding new stuff to their stationery section and I found these cute kraft notebooks, too! Then I've been looking at this book for a long time and finally added it to my collection Tokyo Home Atelier, a collection of designers with home studios, much like myself. I wanted to get some ideas while we continue to update our home studio, especially as an accessories designer you end up with a lot of supplies and need new ways to store things. The book also showcases a lot of the lovely work done by each designer.
