Leather Minis
A lot of you know that I am a professional accessories designer, but I have generally stayed away from leather crafting myself. Recently I thought that I should take a stab at making my bags spring to life so here are two of my first.
First is the Olive Super mini wallet on a chain. This bag is only 2.5 x 1.75", it's meant to be worn as a necklace, but you can carry a bit of coin inside too. Gold leather. Will be in the shop soon.
This one is, the Arwen wallet on a chain (chain is on the way). This little bag is 100% soft leather, perfect to wear out dancing. You can throw some money and lipstick in it. Hand stamped in gold.

Art papers for crafting
I've been working on these prints for gift wrap/art papers in between my design work this past week. I will be putting up a set for sale in my etsy store shortly keep an eye out. You'll get 6 pieces 2 of each design, Ditzy Dots, Pastel Trifecta, and Auntie Em's pink gingham. Plus a sheet of labels to cut and paste on to your gifts, notebooks, sketchbooks or turn them into tags like I did here in the pics. I'm considering adding a mini zine with how-to's on making the flower pom, trifecta poms and accordion bow. Stay tuned in the next couple of days and I will let you know when its up in my etsy store.

Dots!
This weekend we braved the Brooklyn Ikea to get a few things for the apartment. Among our finds were these cute dots and stripes comforter duvets. Here are pics of the bedroom, we have a few little quirky things living in the space (oh and the weird electronic black thing in the corner is a theremin)

Tiny Haus
Thursday was a bit of a nerve wrecking day, so I needed to make a little something to ground myself. I have a lot of little bits of scrap fabric and trims that I save for tiny projects and this was such a project. I made a tiny house brooch pin that can go with me anywhere. I was thinking of making these for my Etsy store what do you think?
Also I had a bit of luck at Target the same day. I say luck because when you live in a very urban area and all 8 million people living in your city shop here you generally can't find what you are looking for. I found some washi tape! Target made their own brand of paper tapes. I bought two three packs, the blue/purple one and the red/pink one. There is also a turq/green one. The only thing I don't like about them is that they have a plastic core, which is very wasteful. I like the Japanese tapes best because it's all paper based. I didn't realize it until I opened the packages. I will recycle the centers when I finish the tapes. Also, they have the cutest magnet dots! Again, they have them in the same colorways as the tapes to match. I got the pink/red pack.

A Mini Pom Cover for My Kindle
My sister gave me her old Kindle which I'm super happy to have so it can be recycled with me. I have a so many books on it too, like the new Murakami, 1Q84. My sister was also kind enough to give me a very nice cover specifically made for the Kindle, but it adds like 2 lbs to the Kindle. Enter my lovely sewing machine. I picked out two cute fabrics, some batting and mini poms and whipped up this simple light weight cover.

Usagi Por Moi Bag
Last week I designed and made this little cross shoulder bag. I love all woodland creature real and mythical, so I decided that I would love a jackalope on a little zippered bag. I hand sketched the drawing on the bag then machine embroidered it, definitely not my finest sketch but I like it looks like a ball point sketch. The shell is cotton canvas. I used a vintage crochet doily from the stash I bought on Ebay a few weeks back for the applique. Also, lovely vintage beads from Tinsel Trading, a vintage yellow metal zipper from my vintage notions stash. Sweet mini dot bumblebee lining which I bought in Tokyo. And the shoulder strap is a beautiful piece of leather I've been saving. This bag tutorial will be in my next craft zine.
