Tanabata Festival- Tsuru Project

I went to the Tanabata festival-Tsuru project this weekend where my friend Aya (first one on the left in first pic) was one of the artists who helped to create all the beautiful ornaments up for sale to help Japan's earthquake victims.
Please check out their website and make a contribution. http://tsuruproject.wordpress.com/

These are pics I took with my Nikon F3 at the Rockaways beach 96st, and Fort Tilden. Both beaches offer very different experiences although they are on the same stretch of land. Fort Tilden is quiet and secluded, and definitely preferred by the Hipsters, and the Rockaways provide a short trip to the boardwalk and water, plus there are awesome food shacks along the boardwalk, like Rockaway Taco, Caracas Arepes, Robertas pizza, and many others.

Dotty notebook and stamp carving

After my trip to Kinokuniya this week I used my new supplies to make a new little notebook and I used the carving set I just got to make a couple of new stamps. Not the greatest first try but I still love the imperfection of them. You can see the label stamp at work on the notebook. I will start putting up some of my notebooks and other stationery this week in my store.
