I love all the lovely tissue cases in the Japanese craft books and other crafty friends' blogs, but unfortunately these pretty cases aren't made for the bulkier and top opening American tissue packs. Fall arrived and my allergies went hay wire (no pun intended). I started carrying my little packs of tissues and the packs always start to fall apart at the last two tissues so I said enough! I drafted a little pattern to make my own pretty cases and now my tissues have a lovely hidey home of their own. The how-to will be in my next zine which I mentioned in my last post. The zine will be mostly simple sewing projects.

Hello, hello, hello...Here we are again with the International Paper Love Swap hosted by dear friend Kelly Zarb. Here's a little sneak peek at my packages going out. One is for my swap buddy Magdalena in Singapore and the other is for lovely Kelly, who's birthday I missed and I want to send her a late birthday surprise!

My little dog Budda turned 12 on Monday. I'm so fortunate he's been around so long he's my tiny best friend. Poor little guy got recently hurt when a radiator cover fell on him as we were returning from our trip upstate and he had to wear a little cast. He spent his birthday with a bit of limp but I gave him lots of love and treats.

The TWA Flight Center (or Terminal 5, as its now called) might be one of the most spectacular architectural structures in NYC, Saarinen couldn't have done a more amazing job, it's flawless. Eero Saarinen designed it in 1962 and its suppose to appear as a bird in flight ready to land. Here are a few shots with my Nikon and the last three are with my new iPhone 5, I love the new panoramic option in the camera.

We had a mini holiday up in Warwick, NY last week. The creatures came along and they had a lot of fun running in a big back yard and a nice hike in Wawayanda State Park. We stayed at a lovely Barn house, run by Hannah or lovely hostess, a former resident of Brooklyn who made her getaway 11 years ago and made Warwick her home. The House is decorated beautifully with mostly mid-century finds. The town of Warwick is a sweet place full of artists and musicians. Our favorite eatery was Fetch, a dog themed pub with a huge menu. Try their Turkey pot, it's Thanksgiving in an enamelware pot! Yum. Warwick is an hour and half drive from NYC so an easy getaway if you only have a night to spend.
