Super sweet crochet book! I love this, it's cut strips of fabric tied together to make the yarn, I can't wait to make something! Think a hat is the first I'll make.

Usagi Por Moi Bag

Last week I designed and made this little cross shoulder bag. I love all woodland creature real and mythical, so I decided that I would love a jackalope on a little zippered bag. I hand sketched the drawing on the bag then machine embroidered it, definitely not my finest sketch but I like it looks like a ball point sketch. The shell is cotton canvas. I used a vintage crochet doily from the stash I bought on Ebay a few weeks back for the applique. Also, lovely vintage beads from Tinsel Trading, a vintage yellow metal zipper from my vintage notions stash. Sweet mini dot bumblebee lining which I bought in Tokyo. And the shoulder strap is a beautiful piece of leather I've been saving. This bag tutorial will be in my next craft zine.

Montreal Part Trois

Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal Montreal
Starting at the top Pics 1-3. Olive et Gourmando, a delicious breakfast and lunch venue in Old Montreal on the main street, St. Paul. We had the "Egg on your Face", poached eggs with gruyére, scallions and sriracha sauce, in a pressed panini. Super yummy, but really big! You can share. They have lots of pastries too. 4. Rue St Paul, in Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal) 5. Also on Rue St Paul is Petit cafe connected to the Petit Hotel, they just have an awesome logo. 6-12. Jean Talon Marché, an amazing outdoor/indoor market. They have vendors selling fruits & veggies, Canadian syrup & honey, cheese & meats, flowers & plants, pies & pastries and lots more. Plus there are picnic tables in the front so you can enjoy some of your finds. There's a creperie & juice bar too! You'll kill a few hours here for sure, try and go on a sunny day. 13. An abandoned thrift store, or someone's crazy office in a Metro tunnel, at the Sherbrooke sta..14. Breakfast at Le Cartet. 15. Self Portrait. 16. Mondial de Biere, a big beer festival held at the Hilton, I know this is not beer but their stand was so cute, and its fudge need I say more.
